A study of beauty, expression and subtle transformation.

Where Beauty Meets Expression
A beauty editorial created in Cologne as part of the Pro Academy final production. A day focused on beauty, expression and transformation, bringing together two different looks — from timeless red lips and polished elegance to a softer, more natural aesthetic.
The shoot
In Front of the Beauty Lens
Beauty photography is very different from many of the fashion and commercial shoots I had done before. With the camera so close, even the smallest movements, expressions and changes in posture can completely transform an image.
During this beauty shoot in Cologne, I had the opportunity to explore facial expressions, eye movement and different angles in much more detail. It showed me how much beauty modeling is about subtlety rather than big poses — sometimes the smallest change creates the strongest photograph.
THE FIRST LOOK
In Front of the Beauty Lens
For the first look, makeup artist Josi Ha created a polished beauty look with glowing skin, visible freckles and a statement red lip. Combined with the white styling, sculptural gold earrings and sleek hair by Calvin Knopp, the result felt timeless and elegant.
I especially loved how the freckles remained visible underneath the makeup. Together with the bold red lips, they created a beautiful balance between natural skin and classic glamour.
THE SECOND LOOK
A Softer Side of Beauty
For the second look, the mood changed completely. Wet-look hair, softer makeup and dark styling created a much more natural and contemporary atmosphere.
Working with two very different beauty concepts during the same production was particularly interesting for me as a model. Without changing the setting dramatically, small adjustments in hair, makeup, expression and posing created an entirely different feeling in front of the camera.
Beauty Is in the Details
What I took away most from this shoot was how important the smallest details are in beauty photography. The position of a hand, the direction of the eyes or a slight turn of the face can make an incredible difference.
Being part of the Pro Academy final production in Cologne gave me another opportunity to develop my beauty modeling and experiment with a style of photography where expression and precision are at the center of every image.

The final photographs were created through the work of an amazing creative team. Jennifer Fischer photographed the series, with makeup by Josi Ha and hair by Calvin Knopp, as part of the Pro Academy final production.
The production was supported by cooperation partners including Pippa Mint Beauty, GHD Hair, Framesi Germany, Forger Germany, Alter Ego Germany and MAC Cosmetics.
A beautiful production, two completely different looks and a series of images I am very happy to have as part of my portfolio.
